This serie of photographs by French artist Antoine Geiger captured my attention  when I did a usual scroll through my favorite news streams and blogs this morning.

Wherever we go – walking through the streets, sitting on a bus, visiting amazing natural landscapes, museums, or dining in a restaurant we can see people in a semi-trance-like state staring in their screens engrossed by the digital world than the tangible world around them. The endless stream of accessible news feeds are constantly grabbing our ever-shortening attention span.

This photographic series of faces sucked by smartphones and screens represents so well how we are obsessed and consumed by our electronic gadgets. The photographic images shows stretched faces torn from an unseen force into the device.

I put my phone back into my bag and observed the world around me.
